Social Media Policy

 Claywood Park PSD uses social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, as a tool to supplement communication with our customers.  These tools can quickly disseminate information such as advisories, warnings, critical safety information, storm related instructions, tips and other helpful information.  This tool is meant to supplement and not replace the means of communication dictated by state and federal agencies and regulators. 

We recognize the web is a 24/7 medium and your comments are welcome at any time.  However, given the need to manage our staff resources, we generally only monitor comments and postings during regular business hours.  You should not use social media to report emergencies or service needs.  Please call our office at 304-422-6042, this number is answered 24 hours a day.

 Claywood Park PSD reserves the right to delete submissions that:

• contain obscene, indecent or profane language;
  
• contain threats or defamatory statements;
• contain hate speech directed at race, color, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, ethnicity, age, religion or disability; or
• promote or endorse services or products

Retweets, follows, shares, etc., do not necessarily equate to an endorsement of a post in particular or the person, group or organization in general.  Claywood Park PSD is not responsible for any external content.
